| Delta 71-82 Alpha-Synuclein Drosophila | This transgenic drosophila expresses a form of alpha-synuclein with a deletion in the NAC domain that removes amino acids 71-82. This mutated alpha-synuclein is unable to aggregate in vitro in a transgenic Drosophila model. There are no alpha-synclein aggregates and no loss of tyrosine hydroxylase- positive neurons. This mutation is used to investigate the importance of alpha-synuclein aggregation on neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's Disease. | ILX:0103009 | 5 | scicrunch | 08/24/2018 | scicrunch | term | 12/08/2016 | 0 | NeuroLex | troy sincomb |

| Delta wave | is a high amplitude brain wave with a frequency of 1–4 hertz which can be recorded with an electroencephalogram (EEG) and is usually associated with slow-wave sleep. Delta wave activity occurs most frequently during stage N3 slow-wave sleep, accounting for 20% or more of the EEG record during this stage. These waves are believed to originate in the thalamus in coordination with the reticular formation (adapted from Wikipedia). | ILX:0103011 | 3 | scicrunch | 06/18/2018 | scicrunch | term | 12/08/2016 | 0 | NeuroLex | NeuroLex |
